The Bloomberg Terminal
The Bloomberg Terminal provides real-time data on every market, unparalleled news and research, powerful analytics, communications tools and world-class execution capabilities–in one fully integrated solution. When Bloomberg wanted to create a new toolkit to showcase the Terminal for years to come they approached us to create a comprehensive system of over 200 hundred deliverables suitable for print, television and social. After an initial design exploration to establish the look and feel of this toolkit we got to work. The tool kit is extremely robust with the ability to change the content on the Terminal screens in both print and animation.
The terminal was modeled with extreme precision that allowed viewing even the tiniest detail large in frame. Motion was designed to showcase the iconic form of the terminal as a class leading piece of hardware. In addition to showcasing the physical machine, we designed motion that featured the content on screen as well. The true power of the terminal is the software with in. All animations or print that showed the screen was delivered with the ability to change the screen content easily on the client side.
Pitch Frames
For the initial pitch, we did a full creative exploration to showcase the terminal as a premium piece of tech. In addition to high end 3D renders, I wanted to explore abstract explorations of the terminal in 2D graphic form as the silhouette of the terminal is powerful icon in the financial world. Here are a few of the design frames created to get this job.
All screens are swappable in 2D post CG renders. This allows for rapid releasing of content demonstrating new Terminal features.
Screen can either be captured from live terminal sessions or created custom in vector form allowing for polished demonstration of features.
