
iRobot Branding
It all begins with the idea of opening each spot with the roomba doing its
job so you can do the things you love. While initially the request leaned towards a graphic branding treatment, I had the idea of being the roomba while it undocks and begins to do its job. This approach allows for a reuseable signature opening on a new campaign of spots. Rooms can be created in CG based on real locations to integrate with the style of each spot.
Part of the pitch, this is the first animation designed to demonstrate the concept. Initial tests sold the concept to both the agency and client winning the job.
It draws you in.
The opening successfully draws the viewer into the spot, as seen by its use in the first TVC using it.
